Peaches Corner — A Myrtle Beach Classic
Peaches Corner is a beloved, vintage-style diner on 900 North Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach. It’s been operating since 1937 and is family-run, adding to its local charm.
It has a cozy, nostalgic vibe—think retro diner feel, classic signage, booths, counter seating, and local memorabilia.
The menu leans diner-style: burgers, hot dogs, fries, corn dogs, shakes, and classic comfort food staples.
Their “Peaches Challenge” is a signature item: it includes a giant burger (double cheeseburger), foot-long hot dog, chili cheese fries, and a peach milkshake.

Peaches Corner, Myrtle Beach SC
Nostalgia & Landmark Status: Because it's historic and locally known, it draws in tourists wanting a “local experience.”
Iconic “challenge” menu: The Peaches Challenge gives people something to talk about and share on social media.
Casual & fun: It’s not fine dining, so the expectations match the style.
It’s not upscale — if someone is looking for fine dining, this won’t compete but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check it out. Just the opposite. It’s worth it even with the limited menu. It’s simple but perfect for the beach. Since it’s a small, casual place, wait times might get long during peak hours.
Funny Story Time
The Day a Seagull Stole My Lunch (and My Dignity)
It was one of those perfect Myrtle Beach afternoons — blue sky, a light breeze, and the distant sound of a band warming up near the Boardwalk. I had just picked up a basket of golden fried shrimp from a local food truck, found a spot on the seawall, and thought, “This is the life.”
That’s when I made my first mistake.
I looked away.
In the blink of an eye, a blur of white wings swooped in like a dive bomber. A seagull, easily the size of a small child… snatched a shrimp right out of my basket! It didn’t stop there though. Within seconds, its feathery friends joined in, and suddenly I was in a full-on avian heist.
Tourists and locals stared at me as if I were see-through… One guy started filming. A little kid yelled, “GET HIM, SEAGULL!” like I was the villain in this story. I tried to guard my lunch like it was the last treasure on earth — arms flailing, fries flying — and I swear one gull laughed.
When the chaos cleared, I was down four shrimp, a little pride, and now part of a dozen people’s vacation videos titled something like:

“Local Man Loses Lunch to Myrtle Beach Mafia (Bird Edition).”
As I sat there eating my last lonely fry, another gull landed a few feet away, tilted its head, and squawked — like it was thanking me for the tip.
So here’s the lesson, friends: if you’re eating on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, guard your shrimp like your reputation depends on it. Because around here, the seagulls don’t share — they steal.
That’s all for now, a new update with more of what’s around town is coming!
